What is accurate use? I used one for months, daily and doesn’t have a mark on the eye piece, that looks to me like it took a good hit on something sharp enough to damage it.
accurate use means not a single hit, wore it in a special bag when not used. No rubbing, tearing etc. So definitely not caused by wrong use. What is accurate use? But to answer the question, no, they eye piece isn’t user replaceable.
Most probably will do so, thnxThe 100V has a rather robust rubber eyeoeace which doesn't peel off easily. If you have still guarantee, I would sent to an official Fujifilm repair center.

So I am not the only one. Most probably have to consider it as battle scars than =) even if replace it there is a chance the new one will peel as wellMines got the same issue but farther along. It's right where it rubs against my eye socket when I look through it. I've used it a lot though, so I wasn't totally surprised when it started happening. It seems to just be the shiny coating on the rubber that's wearing off; the rubber itself is still fine. It's a mild cosmetic bummer, but not bad enough to be without the camera for a month and deal with fuji's incompetent New Jersey repair center. I'm past a year now, so I'm just going to live with it. I honestly had forgotten about it until reading this.

I have an X-E4 and an X-T2 with three primes. I was planning to sell my X-T2 and one of my lenses, but with all of the quality and reliability complaints I keep seeing posted here and in other Fuji forums and groups about the X100V and X-T4, I'm beginning to have second thoughts about keeping the X-E4 instead of the X-T2.This is an old thread but it seemed there was some doubt that eyepiece wear was an issue with the x100v.
Here's my eyepiece after 18months. The rubber has worn away so much that the metal beneath it is coming through. In my case I wear glasses so I can imagine it wears much faster than for people who don't but I still find it pretty disappointing. I'm risking scratching my glasses using the camera now.
I had the original x100 for ten years before this and the rubber never wore away.
The scissors seem to have the same owner as the camera...
Same issue here 12 o' clock position. I just hope it isn’t progressive. So I am not the only one. I saw that the eyepiece with sensor is available on Ebay for 65 usd so I assume it won't be so expensive to have it fixed by fujifilm. To my knowledge it is not possible to simply replace the eyepiece alone, so you either have to live with it, send it to Fujifilm for replacing the whole piece or use some DIY methods in order to at least try fixing it up a bit.
I've got a similar experience with the eyepiece on my X-Pro3 Dura Silver. It is peeling off and getting worse unfortunately. Since it's still under warranty I'm considering to contact Amazon (where I purchased the camera from) and see what they can do about it.Anyone similar experience or got it fixed?
I have the same problem after about a week without "abusing" it - a small part of the top layer of the eyepiece rubber came off.
I'm wearing glasses so maybe this can be the reason.
