Tiny screw fallen out of Gr2
1

While I was shooting in the streets yesterday I noticed my GR2 camera body was feeling slightly spongy when held. To my horror and disbelief, I found a tiny weeny screw had fallen out of the body adjacent to the top circular dial. How on earth could this have happened ? And more to the point, how will I get a replacement in the Uk ?

Re: Tiny screw fallen out of Gr2

I had the same problem with my GR and GR2 this spring. I have found over the years that the Ricoh Service in Sweden, but they did not have the screws either. Had to wait for three weeks until they arrived - 15€/piece :-{{ However, I now have also one as spare.

My GR Limited (got unfortunately flooded by one tiny drop of high tide in Bretagne) had the same fault. Odd that this kind of stuff is not kept as standard spare.

It also begs the question as to why they fall out in the first place. Not very well made/designed springs to mind.

I will have to find something that fits from some other thing around the house.

Btw - when opting for email notifications on responses to my post, why don't I get the emails ? Nothing in spam.
