New mini lab in the UK
1

For anyone living in High Wycombe (I’d guess they’ll have a postal service as well ) Analogue Wonderland are opening a new walk in mini lab ( https://analoguewonderland.co.uk/blogs/film-photography-blog/the-birth-of-the-wonderlab ) in the Autumn.

This is the third  mini lab I’ve seen that’s opened in the U.K in the past year or so, along with Bristol Cameras ( https://www.bristolcameras.co.uk/news-on-site-photo-lab-for-film-processing-prints-and-enlargements.htm ) and TakeItEasy in Leeds ( https://www.takeiteasylab.com/collections/develop-your-film/products/one-hour-film-developing-leeds-city-centre ).

Is the same upswing in labs happening elsewhere ( there are other postal ones opened in the UK, too, I’m just highlighting walk-in mini labs ) ?

"Mini-lab" to me meant a 1 hour processing machine, by the looks of that, it looks like a Jobo Autolab of some sort.

Makes this seem appropriate.

I think the Jobo was an artists impression.  One of their stated aims is to make it more environmentally friendly so I suspect running a standard mini lab machine might not be the easiest way  to achieve that.

Isn’t DS Colour Labs a walk in ? I’ve never used them but they were one of the ones I considered when I was looking to get some APS developed.

Analogue Wonderland are pretty good.

Not the cheapest online suppliers, but they have some interesting films. They won't be the cheapest way of getting your film developed, but I'd have no problem in trusting them to be responsible and reasonable value for money.
