M100 Images Darker on Computer Screen Than On Camera LCD
1

I recently purchased a used M100 with the 15-45 kit lens, and like it so far.  However, when I view images on the camera's LCD they appear much brighter/punchier than when viewed on my computer monitor.  I can increase the exposure in post, but would rather not need to do so.  I have been a Fuji user (still am) for 7 years and have never noticed anything like this while using Fuji gear or other Canon gear.  Has anyone else experienced such with the M100, or other M cameras?

I don't have the M100, but I'd start by performing a Factory Reset.

It is generally a good move to do a full factory reset on any used camera because you never know what odd settings the previous owner might have had.

Have you checked what the screen settings are ? Maybe the previous owner jacked up the brightness etc ?

Make your camera screen brightness darker until it's more or less what you expect. Assuming that your computer screen isn't just dark.

I haven't done a reset, but will give that a try.

Thank you both for the tip!
