can you help me with exiftool to remove these entries ?

Hi

I have download exiftool.exe version 12.29

I spent hours to remove some tags

can you help me please?

for example may I know the command line to remove the tag DocumenteNotes (tag of IPTC ?

and for example may i know how remove the tag Artist in the IFD0 ?

the point is that i want to learn how remove these tags and similar tags with a command line

for what i know exiftool is the most powerfull tool

This would remove the DocumentNotes and Artist tags from the example.JPG file:

exiftool -Artist= -DocumentNotes= example.jpg

Doing this will also create the file "example.jpg_original" as a backup

You can avoid that by adding "-overwrite_original" (generally only do this if you have backups of your files)

exiftool -Artist= -DocumentNotes= -overwrite_original example.jpg

You could also remove the tags for many files with a single command - such as:

- Remove Artist and DocumentNotes from all jpegs in the current directory

exiftool -Artist= -DocumentNotes= -ext jpg .

There are lots of other options

sadly in the past i was used to run the gui but it's no more updated by years

thanks you so much Greybeard2017 , would like to invoke from adobe bridge or photo supreme or other software free like xnview classic or others , but a simple bat won't help because many softwares don't pharse the photo file name

really appreciate your help
