Under the waterfall
5

So, after a long ride I made it to the village of Kataraktes (waterfall). The weather was deliciously wet, adding dynamism to the scenery, not that it lacked any. But by the moment I reached the fall, it started raining, so I only managed a few shots, not with the best settings indeed. Still, I managed a few panoramas. I let your eyes decide which is more appealing to you.

I will have to revisit the scenery, planning more time available for shooting and a good lunch under the fall.

Pentax 100WR proves great in this application, Sigma 8-16 is a great tool too, Sigma 18-250 is handy and with some care rather nice too.

Lovely, especially the first shot.

Had it rained recently?

Re: Under the waterfall

Impressive images. But what's even more impressive is that you lugged 3 different DSRL cameras up there with you on a ride!

Re: Under the waterfall

Glad you liked the Joe.

No, there was not rain until I got there. But the clouds embraced the top of the mountain so it was moist. And a breathtaking view to. One could see the clouds and then the waterfalls gushing from them one the mountain.

Here is a couple shots a couple kilometers from the falls.

Thank you Pentup.

3 dSLRs with me is what I call a meaningfully tiresome decision.

Usually there is no time to change optics and also I admit I am afraid of the dust in some environments, so I never change lenses out there. A habit from shooting dance plays. But since I have the luxury to own these cameras and my health condition still allows it, I carry most of my equipment at my εxcursions.

At least when I am not with all my family :).
