Solving My Overheating Problem

I do not know how many of you guys do videography with your mirrorless cameras and experience overheating, leading the camera to shut down. I had initially intended to use my Fujifilm X-A7 for streaming (not recording) some lectures. However, during testing, it would shut down from overheating after only about 12 minutes despite using a dummy battery and swinging the screen away from the camera back. On reading around the issue, I managed to solve my problem by getting copper heat sinks used for cooling computer memory chips. I measured the size of the camera back and got the appropriate sizes of the copper heat sinks (see pic).

2 pieces of copper heat sink against the back of a Fujifilm X-A7

Now my camera has been running for > 2 hrs without shutting down. I hear the copper-graphene heat sinks work even better.

The heat sink came with a thermal compound which also acts as an adhesive. The heat sink could be removed without any mark on my camera back. Of course, your mileage may vary.
