HELP me fix this audio issue!!!

I am new to Android because I just kept breaking my iPhones. I now have a Kyocera Brigadier. When I bluetooth it to my AirPods and go to listen to music, I get this message " Listening at high volume for long periods may be harmful to your hearing your media volume has been adjusted below the recommended value."  I then play my music and turn the volume up all the way and I can still barely hear it! What is going on and is there a way to fix this??

Maybe someone else has experience with your model and / or Airpods.  My suggestion would be to try to isolate the problem:  test the phone's volume on its speakers, without the Bluetooth - Airpods.  Test the phone's Bluetooth with some other receiving device, e.g. computer.  Also test the Airpods with another sending device, e.g. computer.

Okay, so I tried my AirPods on a computer and the volume was normal. Then I used wired earbuds that plug into the phone and the volume was still quiet????

It looks like it's in the phone.  You'd obviously check the Sound in Android Settings, and be sure Do Not Disturb is off.    You don't say if you disabled Bluetooth for the wired headset test.  Some quick googling indicates that could matter.  This article suggests a fix, possibly depending on the Android version.

If it's a problem with the Kyocera volume itself, e.g. on it's own speakers absent Bluetooth and headset, you might do better at the manufacturer's website or a Kyocera forum.  Can't really say more.
