RICOH GR III OVERHEATING
1

I have had the camera for 6 months now and I have a problem on screen a notification says that the camera is closed because it might be damaged
It is overheating and shuts down, and it happens even with an original battery...
Maybe it's dust... I don't know.
Thank you

Re: RICOH GR III OVERHEATING

As discussed on this forum and in the past.....is the camera left on all the time or do you turn it off and on when shooting, or you have it set to shut off automatically  after a preset time. If it is set to the last 2 then you may need to send it back, but others can probably tell you better. If it is on all the time, then try setting it so it shuts down automatically.

That's a very BAD issue with the GR111.

# 1 reason it's no buy for me.

Re: RICOH GR III OVERHEATING

hi friends

I turn it off and on when shooting..not in every click but I use to...on and off

I almost never filming with the camera, just take a lot of photos, I use an original battery and two from Newnowa every day First,

There is either a small thermometer (red) on the screen and then a message that the camera holds itself out so that nothing is further damaged will .... or without the thermometer icon, only the message comes.

I have had the batteries for 6 months like the camera and when taking photos (the camera is so very fast) I turn it off often, but it can happen that I can do 30-50 cliks at once without switching the camera off

It's probably faulty. Have you been in contact with Ricoh or the shop you purchased from. I think you should return it.

BTW, as some have posted elsewhere, does the camera have the latest firmware? If not I would do it and see if it makes a difference. If no difference and it is under warranty the time to return it for repairs.
