KMA200 #2

Last week I won a bid on an A200 for $10. The one I already have has a problem with the Anti-Shake and I was hoping this second one would not. It arrived yesterday and it is just like the first one. So I'm guessing this is a very common problem with this model. Oh well, at least the camera is operational otherwise. It came with two NP-800 batts, OEM strap, a 4GB CF card and an older film bag. Sadly, no lens shade but my other one has one. It had firmware v1. 00 and I upgraded that to the v1. 01.

Just a few test snaps today with mostly cloudy skies.

(* I was also testing out an old Casio Z750 and I posted some of the same shots there if anyone is interested in the difference. That camera has a 1/1.8" sensor)

I really wish that Minolta's Anti-Shake system has gotten perfected by the time Sony took over. I had to go into my A390 and physically center the sensor because the SS was broken and off centered.

Very pleasant shots - to me it still seems like a pretty good buy at that price.

Hike Pics,

I have to agree with Evil One on this one.  I really like the photos you shared and it reminds me what convinced me to go with the Konica Minolta and original Sony Alpha system to begin with.  There is something about the quality and colors that appeals to me.  Happy shooting.
