Sigma Mini-wide Disassembly

Hey Everyone -

This is cross posted from the Sigma and Adapted Lens talk forums. Trying to find someone that may be able to give me some good advice here.

I came across a Sigma mini-wide 28mm lens for real cheap near me. My thought was to alter it to fit my Sigma Quattro SD. I purchased the lens rather quickly without verifying anything. It turned out not to be a Pentax K Mount, which it had been advertised as, but on top of that it has some fungus growth. So being that I had already wasted my money and not wanting to drive another hour to try and get my money back, I decided to take it apart to clean it. I’ve only taken a lens apart twice and it was very different from this one. Needless to say I probably only made things worse. However, the point of this post is to ask if anyone knows how to get any further into this lens. I’m so close to getting to the fungus, but am at lost at this point on how to take it apart further. It appears that I have everything off the front of the lens. Please see the photos.

Rather than delete this thread, I figured I would comment on how I accessed the rest of the optics.

As I had initially figured the access was from the front of the lens (though I had given up on this and started removing everything from the rear of the camera). I also had assumed that it must be glued, since I had absolutely was unable to access it. In reality, it was not glued, just hard to access.

Using a vacuum pad (size 3) with some force, but not too much (and several days later), I was able to finally screw off the last retaining ring. I do not think it was glued, it was just hard for the vacuum pad to grab a hold of.

So, for those that want to clean the optics of a Sigma mini-wide lens, access is completely from the front.
