Are there 2 revisions of NX1? Have a look at this.
Jun 6, 2021
Not sure if anyone noticed, I only noticed yesterday, bought the third NX1 body and this one was different than the others.
Firstly, I wasn't that lucky this time, sold as 'faulty and untested' and when I got it I thought this is a 'dummy', no input or output ports, just the holes. Battery was real, construction the same, I mean the sensor and LCD looked legit. quickly came back to my senses and from my experience of disassembling and repairing a broken NX1 I realised that the camera is real but the motherboard has been removed. So strange, the grip has that dry feeling suggesting this wasn't used much and screen has no scratches at all, looks really good. Why remove the MB?
But why did I jump to conclusion it was a dummy? Read below:
Check this link, can you spot the difference?

In the same review above, dpreview have inserted pictures with the most common version, see here for what we are used with:

Differences: Push to release button next to the left dial. you can only move the dial if you push at the same time.
Also: knurling on the dials is different, this dpreview unit and my last camera has less rows compared to most NX1 in circulation (so that's 4 rows for right dial and 3 rows for left dial compared to most NX1s that have 6 rows on right dial and 4 rows on left dial
EVF cover hole for sensor was slightly larger as well but this is only for my unit, the dpreview appears to have the normal small hole.
Bonus Weird stuff: my camera doesn't have the 'OK' in the center dial button (I mean, it is there but looks black on black, like it was wiped off) exactly like the test unit in dpreview review.
Can't check the serial number as it was removed.
Have I got a review unit, or was the first batch of the cameras made this way?
