D7000 auto focus

I found my D7000 seems have autofocus issue. I don't believe it is hardware issue I think i changed something.

The panel show my focus is AF-A. Each time, when I half press release button, it starts with area focus but always end up single focus. I did change the lens to A and change to AF in the body.

I use D7000 and 18-105 lens. What could be the reason. Thanks

Thanks in advance!

Area....?

Witch means it will switch from AF-C to AF-S automatically depending on conditions.

Each time, when I half press release button, it starts with area focus ...

Do you mean AF-C?

....but always end up single focus.

Changing to AF-S from AF-C is normal for AF-A mode

My opinions are my own and not those of DPR or its administration. They carry no 'special' value (except to me and Lacie of course)

For the conditions, handheld and tight DoF given the subject distance, about what I would expect for that setup.  The 18-105 is can be a bit soft until closer to f8...but it's a convenient zoom and pretty cost effective
