Pentax 50mm 2.8 FA Macro...

I'm looking for a lens hood. It appears to be an internal screw lens mount. Where to buy?

Thanks, Tom W

The FA 50mm and FA 100mm macros, have there front lens a little inside of the lens, therefore it's like they already have a lens hood. I use always a lens hood with my lens, but never need one with this lens, maybe sometimes my hand in extrem situations.

If you need a hood, the lens has a 52mm filter diameter.

Thanks KPM2, you know I ordered a 52mm lens hood and still have it but it does not fit...go figure.

Hi Tom,

Look at the first two links, on the F and FA versions, it says no hood required but also that the RH-RA52 clip-on hood is compatible with the FA. This is a short hood made of rubber.

In my opinion, the 50mm macro could hardly make use of a normal hood. When shooting at large distances the front element is shaded by the helicoid front. When shooting at close to 1:1, the front elements is almost exposed but the working distance is small. Maybe the short and flexible hood will work.

The D-FA version is using another hood, PH-RBC 49mm.
