Is this a Shoveler?
3

The beak is similar to that of a Northern Shoveler, but not the plumage. I found no matches in my Western North American references, and I didn't witness any diving or dipping behavior. These shots were captured in Fort Collins CO USA on 5-12-2021.

We did get some Northerns passing through 13 months ago, and they looked exactly like the guidebook images. Thanks in advance for any clues.
