I Need to stop!

I need to stop looking through FB market place for N1 gear.

Last week I found an J2 with a 10-30 and 30-100 for $90 Canadian and on enquiring the seller said both lenses were good. So off I went to pick the kit up and made a quick check by attaching each lens and looking at the screen and they appeared to be OK in the bright sunlight.

On arriving home the weather had become overcast and both lenses behaved terribly on testing again, with problems focusing and a dim screen. I removed each lens whilst the camera was still on and looked through the lens and there it was, both apertures not fully open.  The 10-30 had previously been repaired by Nikon (black dot), so a dodgy pinion had been replaced by another dodgy pinion.

I emailed the seller with a link to the problems these lenses have and asked for a refund which he agreed to. On returning the kit I showed him the the half closed apertures, but I think he knew there was a problem.

Sad story, with an OK ending!
