Is this Meikon RX100 housing still worth something?

Seems like there's a bit of rust on the hinge:

I think there's a little bit of rust on the hinge on the other side as well. Not sure if anyone would be interested. But I've only used it for 15-20 dives. Or is this to be expected for a Meikon housing?

Re: Is this Meikon RX100 housing still worth something?

Hmm.  I never looked at the hinges on my various Canon point-n-shoot housings, but I don't recall any of them showing rust.  And they all had 30+ dives each, minimum.  I strongly suspect they were made by Meikon (though I don't know for sure) because of how similar they look.

At any rate, the housing isn't worth much without a matching camera.   I'd think a camera/housing combo sale would be appropriate at the point the camera is no longer made.

I imagine there are chemical ways to clean out that rust.

I don't think the rust itself matters much, the hinge is there just to hold the two parts together above water - after submerging, the water pressure squeezes the housing much harder than the hinge and clasp ever could - but I suspect that the Venn diagram intersection of 'people who still own an original RX100' and 'people who'd like to take that specific camera underwater and still don't have a housing for it, nine years after it came out' is quite small. You might be able to sell the housing and camera as a bundle to someone looking for a cheap starter rig, maybe for around $200-250 total.

Thanks. Already promised the camera to my sister though. And she doesn’t dive (though I could still give her the housing as well).

the housing is good for tide pools, snorkeling, pool day with the kids, beach days, pretty much any time you want to protect the camera.  WHo knows she might get into diving now that she has an underwater camera ;-).
