As an aside, Adobe's most famous software, Photoshop, however, was created by Thomas and John Knoll in 1987 who later sold the licensing rights to Adobe in 1988.

Adobe in 1980s was primarily known for PostScript and DTP.

Interesting, I did not know that.

Yes, PostScript was their innovation, and PDF is the descendant of that early page description language for printers. Popularized on the original Macintosh, Adobe helped usher in desktop publishing, something that could not be done with the IBM PC before the Mac came along.

Kidnapped
2

I never knew Charles Geschke was kidnapped. He was released after 4 days of captivity unharmed. The kidnappers were sentenced to life imprisonment for their crime.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Geschke

It was interesting that when Geschke was blindfolded in the getaway vehicle, he used his other senses to trace the vehicle's route.

https://www.losaltosonline.com/news/sections/news/215-news-briefs/20556-J18583

"With the loss of his sight, Chuck’s other senses sharpened. He was attuned to traffic noise and the sun gleaming through the car’s left side. He was pretty sure they were headed south on 101, and he calibrated the time to 30 minutes when they pulled off the highway and into a motel."

Reading to the end of the page, the above story is Part 1 of a multi part story.

Where did the Wikipedia image come from? Wikipedia started in 2001. It seems out of place for an 1988 Application? Before Adobe, BarneyScan XP was what Photoshop was called.

Also, it's true that Wikipedia did not exist before 2001, but just because the Photoshop version is from 1988 does not mean that it cannot / could not be used after 1988.

Re: Adobe co-founder dies

It’s a shame. I know that people don’t really talk about this because there are some changes that can be made in his honour. It is amazing that Adobe plays such a big factor in the world that we live in today. They are a multimedia giant that can serve as the basis out of everything that is being created. It is nice to know that that there are people who can take over as a proper way..
