What did you shoot or post-process? (Apr 10 - Apr 16)

What did you shoot or post-process the past two weeks?

Gävle

Super duper. The Tamron sure looks like a heckuva lens. I checked the map for your location (Gävle) -- seems like a beautiful part of the country. Was this picture taken in the local area? If so, I am guessing it is a sunrise shot since Gävle is on the east coast (Baltic Sea Gulf of Bothnia). Would be fun to explore someday.  I have not been any farther north than Stockholm.  Looks like maybe there's some good smoked fish in Gävle?  And a railway museum, too!  My mom is from Trelleborg, so there might be a language barrier -- LOL.

Re: Gävle

Hello! Thank you for looking at my picture and for liking it. The picture was taken 60 km south of Gävle. In a place called Sikhjälma. Its a part of Uppland (region) The picture was taken at sunset. It is true that we have a railway museum (closed right now) and that you may buy smoked herring (Böckling).
With kind regards Mikael

MSC Trieste

The typical subject matter (for me).  One of these days I will get a photographic life and stretch out a little bit.    Would be nice to get out on the road for a week or two and find some interesting landscapes (Eastern Washington).  Someday!  But for now, backyard shots will have to do.  Yes, the boat is in the middle of the frame (cropped).  Subject distance is about 2.5 miles (4 km) so there is a lot of air to bore through.  Shot with 200-500 handheld (resting my elbow on a railing).  I just recently downloaded C1 for Nikon and this was the first PP effort.  There's some backlighting and also late afternoon haze to deal with.  Plus the distance.  Previously have been using PSE.  I will probably continue to use PSE as I am familiar with the cloning and healing tools.

Heading to Tacoma

Re: My backyard today...

Oh my! We went through similar 4 months ago. Where abouts are you located? Did you lose power? Tree damage? We got hammered badly.

Re: My backyard today...

I live on the east coast of Canada ... the far east part. No we didn't loose power this time, at least not where I live. And the trees survive - they are amazingly resilient to this heavy ice.  We've had much worse. But it's pushing two weeks of rain and drizzle and not much fun weather for shooting.
