Can Sigma 12-24 EX be opened from front side

My Sigma 12-24mm f/4.5-5.6 EX DG Aspherical HSM has developed some lens fungus on some of the front elements - before ditching it, I would give it a chance of DIY cleaning, but every description I can find on disassembling it is from the rear, and I am not eager to work my way through the entire lens to get to the front elements.

So, does anyone know if it can be opened from the front side, and if so a link to a description would be nice

You might also try asking on the adapted lens forum -- that's where most of us who frequently take lenses apart tend to gather....

Thank you

According to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WCQiTuq7q80 @ 17.00 min the front lens element actually just screws off - I have a watch case opening ball on its way, and will give that a try.
