EOS Utility doesn't work over Wifi with a 750D

I want to be able to control my EOS 750D remotely from my laptop when shooting astro.

Unfortunately this doesn't seem possible with EOS Utility over wifi connections with a 750D (believe me I have googled it thoroughly!).

The only thing that does seem to work is something called Airnef, but all that does it transfer your images from the camera over wifi.

I really don't want to have to buy a massively long USB cable! Is there ANY software that enables wifi remote shooting on a 750D?

Thanks

It will only operate with one device at a time. ... In reality the process of WiFi pairing EOS cameras using EOS Utility 3.0 and EOS Utility ... The EOS 750D / EOS 760D can only connect to iOS or Android devices over WiFi. ... i connect my camera via USB it doesn t connect and with the eos launcher it require .

How long a a USB cable do you need? After 15 feet, it is a problem. Over wifi, there were some wifi compact flash and SD cards some years ago but the transfer speed is very limited. Even some Canon cameras with Camera Connect functionality are so slow that you are better off buying an adapter on your computer and transfer files locally.

Regards,
There is always something to shoot/snap, you just have to know how to do it and have the right gear.

Thanks. In fact I have managed to find an 8m USB cable and it works fine with EOS Utility now. I have two cables taped together in fact. One controls the telecope and one controls the camera.
