Sony 70-200 or 100-400

I’m trying to decide between the Sony 70-700 or the Sony 100-400. I’ll be using it on the A7R4. Mainly used for capturing dogs or wild life. What is your experience with either. I was originally thinking of tfe 70-200 but some of the reviews are holding me back.

My dogs would likely be close, maybe too close, they aren't all that sedate.  But wildlife, definitely, the 100-400 should be more effective.

The 100-400 had a close minimum focus.

The Tamron 70-180/2.8 has an mfd under 11 inches.  OTOH, the OP mentioned dogs and wildlife, and as I mentioned,  my dogs tend to be quite active and quite close, close enough to be too close given their activity level, for either 70mm or 100mm, the short end focal lengths, to be easy to use.
