Choosing an X100

I'm going minimal with Fuji and I would like to rationalize my kit and Buy an x100 for street.

Should I get the new x100V or even an x100F or x100T are still good in 2021? Which one would you suggest?

The newer version has slightly more megapixels and more up to date jpeg profiles. if this is important to you - go for this. it'll cost a premium though.  Otherwise the 100f will do the job.

The only other game changer will depend on how you shoot - do you shoot "from the hip"? if so the 100v's tilt screen will add to your usability.

I don't think any version of the X100 would really be a bad buy. I still have the original 'Mk I' version and use it regularly with great pleasure. If you can afford it and don't mind paying premium $ (or any other currency  ) I'd go for the latest incarnation of this classic camera concept. If you want to shop more cost conscious, just have a look around at reviews etc. and figure out which older versions would fill your needs. Could save you quite a bit and you could still end up with a camera you'll never want to let go again...

The T, F, and V all had solid improvements over the models they succeeded. I suggest you read DPR’s reviews for each of them because those will let you know the relative improvements of the F and V .The T is still good assuming you don't have fast AF needs otherwise I would stick with the F or V, both of which had fast enough AF.

I just replaced my Ricoh GRiii (stolen) with an X100V. It was more of an impulse buy than a thoughtful consideration of which model.

And while I do confess to missing that little black box, the X100 series are really quite nice and the newest lens seems to be on par with other modern designs.

So that, plus the improved focus, weather sealing, and flippy screen would make me opt for the latest version.

But you should also be honest about your budget. Because there is quite a bit of difference in price between the models and you shouldn't be stressed over a fun purchase.

Unless you just can't afford the V, its the only one that makes sense if you don't currently have the F. So much has improved in the V. Better lens, water resistant, 4-stop ND filter, newer sensor, flippy screen, improved viewfinder, faster continuous shooting, 4k video, and a few other minor improvements.

The X100V is the more mature of the series.

The older ones are still good, though. If you find the V too expensive, an S or T can be great value, used. Or even the original.

Personally, I draw the line at USB charging. That's a feature I want. So that's a T.

Maybe you have some other feature you can't live without, and can choose accordingly.
