Canon power shot dark viewfinder and photos
1

I have a Canon PowerShot SX 150 is.  One day I attempted to take a photo, indoors but with a lot of sunlight in the room. When I pressed the shutter button halfway down to focus, the viewfinder went very dark. I went through with pressing the button all the way down to take the photo and the photo turned out very dark.  This had never happened before in this setting and I have taken many pictures in this same room with the same kind of lighting.  So I tested the camera in other situations and the same thing happens unless I use a flash or go completely outdoors in daylight. This has never been the case before.  I haven't change any settings (to my knowledge). Is my camera going bad? Is there a way to fix this?

Thank you to anyone who can guide me.

Try putting a new battery in.... a new CF card and reset your camera?
