This month with your Nikon 1 - March 2021
1

Welcome to another monthly thread. Feel free to share your work either here or through individual threads on the forum, whatever you are more comfortable with.

The rules are simple:

  • Add your contribution by responding to this first message in this topic.
  • Change the subject of your message, then embed your image into the reply with whatever you’d like to say about it.
  • If you want criticism/critique (C&C) or technique feedback, say so. It’s generally assumed that you want general feedback, but direct requests make it clearer.

The title of the thread shouldn't discourage you from posting older pictures. Feel free to post anything that you found again in your archives or that you are currently working on.

Spring Flowers and Bird
4

Almost 12 months now that I'm stuck in home office - at least there is some entertainment just outside my office window:

V3 with 70~300 CX - flowers and birds are happy that the snow is gone!

What a beautiful cheerful picture, amidst all the doom and gloom nature reminds us that the simple things in life hold the greatest beauty.

That's a nice image, and I agree the colors make it rather cheerful.

A back yard flower
1

I've no idea what this is, but my wife planted it recently. I needed lots of optical power for a bird ID in the yard so had my 200-500 on a V2 and was shooting through the inferior glass window. This flower was a diversion but I like how it came out. If time permits I will get outside with the 10-100 or 70-300 and see how this looks without the bad glass.

Even with 1350mm equivalent I had to crop down to 64% of the frame for this.

This was from Feb 27 on the Seattle Waterfront.

With N1 V3 and 70-300mm CX.

Developed with DXO PL4, slight crop and resized to 2000px long edge, DeepPrime

and adjusted to taste with Luminar 3.

Dehesa

This is the dehesa, a typical landscape where I live, grass fields with holm oaks where cattle grazes (sometimes brave bulls)

I love this shot. Very pleasing composition and a restful, calming scene.  I'm impressed that it doesn't "shout" ultra wide as can happen with that lens. Well done.
