A Tiger’s meal
4

I am Kabini (Nagarahole) national park in Karnataka, India for the weekend, testing out my new canon R5.

This was photographed yesterday at Kabini. A Sub-adult male tiger had made a kill (you can see the head of the sambar deer in the foreground). We spent nearly two hours with this guy - initially stayed behind the branches, and when he tried to go for a drink, a pack of wild dogs were near the pool and the tiger came back. We thought he was worried wild dogs would steal his meal. Finally he did go for a drink, by late evening.

i have not gotten to processing pics of tiger at the water, which were clearest, but  took this shot when the tiger decided to chase off some crows which were trying to peck at its meal.

Nice image but a little heavy on the noise, nothing a little NR can't handle. 😉
