Which version do you all like better — black and white or color?

Colour version for me. Gives a real sense of the clear, cold conditions. The B&W ones not bad though! 😉

Definitely color.

B&W photos remind me of antique shows on TV. Ansel Adams was great but he's dead.

That is a lovely sun star (ish) from your 15-45 lens!

Lol! Thanks for the feedback — and the laugh!

Thank you! Ya, not bad from this left-for-dead kit lens, which I think is highly under-appreciated.

Also prefer the colour. I think it'd be more pleasing if the sun was centred in the frame. I did a quick and nasty crop of your export and the composition is more balanced, to my eye.

I actually like both of them....the color for the reasons stated above, but the shadows on the B&W version really draw me in.

One advantage B&W has is that it doesn't have separate elements competing for attention for the eye. So, I end up with a real like for both versions.

...and a great thing about photography & the forum....we can have both!

Yep, black and white images really have a way of removing the distractions!

Indeed!
