Darktable favorites

I'm a newcomer to darktable.  I cannot figure out how to establish a panel of modules that's always available everytime I open darktable and begin to process an image.  It seems as if the latest version (3.4) has eliminated a specific 'favorites' panel but I may be wrong about this.  At any rate, any help would be appreciated regarding how to set up my workspace so that a 'user defined' list of modules would be available at all times.  I understand how the various presets of each of the panels can be toggled on and off but these options don't provide exactly what I want.  Again - thanks for your help.

It's in the manual:

https://darktable-org.github.io/dtdocs/module-reference/utility-modules/darkroom/manage-module-layouts/

and

https://darktable-org.github.io/dtdocs/darkroom/interacting-with-modules/search-and-group/

If at first you do succeed, try not to look surprised.

Re: Darktable favorites

I don't find the new way of doing this very intuitive. I liked the old way better. Having said that, I find that the new linear scene module offers most of what I am using to process my images in DT anyway.

Thanks to you both; I had checked the manual many times.  In the latest manual the relevant section is under .......module groups/layout manager.  Upon close inspection I finally figured out how to get what I wanted.
