... GRD 1 and SD card

... Just new to Ricoh, and have a GD1 on the way. However, confused about whether I can use an SD card larger than 2G. I’m sure that it is an old question answered many times, but I can’t find a clear answer.

... Thanks.

If you mean GRD1 then I think 1Gb is largest.

... Right. GRD1. New to the Ricoh line-up. Appreciate your response, but there must be something certain somewhere. Don’t want to have to buy a smaller SD if a 16 GB works fine.

Iain. If you are talking about the 2006 8mb GRD then I have never used anything larger than 1Gb in my GRD1 cameras. However, I just found two sources that say in fact 2Gb is the maximum size. I didnt even know it could take that size.

... Thanks both of you. Just ordered a 2GB card. Not the easiest things to find these days!
