Setting on Rebel T2i

I have a T2i Rebel and somehow I've changed a setting I don't understand or how to reset. When I want to take a picture the camera starts a 10 second countdown, how do I reset to take real time pictures? I can't find this setting in the manual and at 70 yrs old I'm not sure I would understand if I found it, any help is appreciated- Thank you DaveinJax

It should be on page 70-71 of the manual.

You need to change the "Drive Mode" on the camera, it's currently set for 10-second timer. You want to switch it back to single shot, or continuous mode. It's the button left of "SET".
