Power Shot Issue

I have a Canon Power Shot SX420 IS. I somehow punched a horrible selection, or, mode. What I'm getting is a super grainy image on the screen. And the quality of the photos is similar. On the screen I'm seeing an "active" image meaning.... When I hold the camera still it looks like there are pixels bouncing around everywhere like boiling water. I can't figure it out. I think I've seen it before but I don't remember how I got rid of it. I'm at wits end.!! Just for the record I normally shoot in auto mode with the vivid color option. Any help here.?? I love the camera.!!

What I would do is go to the menu mode .... and do a fresh reset of everything like when you first received the camera... if that doesn't work... go to your nearest Camera store and let them help you. Happy Holidays to you and your family:-)

Hi BirdNPath,

Sounds like a way too high ISO setting to me, did you set it to it's highest value in stead of Auto ?

...€0.02...

kind regards,

Thanks Max. Going into Auto mode has apparently fixed the issue but now it seems I can't be in auto mode and have the option of Vivid Color. I'll click some images and upload them to see what the image quality looks like. Thanks for your help.
