Auto AF vs Auto AF Human

I guess this could apply to the WIDE AF modes also.

But my question is, any penalty to leaving AF mode on just Auto AF (Human) even if there are no people in my shot?

If the camera notices no humans, will it perform as if it is in regular Auto AF mode OR will the camera perform better if I were to switch to regular Auto AF mode.

Guess I'm trying to see if the general Auto AF mode is needed or better off to just pick the Auto AF Human mode?

Re: Auto AF vs Auto AF Human

I played with Auto-area and Auto-area People on my z6ii and I couldn't see any difference in AF speed or behavior. Makes more sense to use People.

I think the non-people mode is just there if you want to prevent the camera from focusing on faces/eyes. I'm not aware of any advantage.
