Recent photos with X100V
21

Had the chance to use the X100V a bit more, on a couple of days. Not easy with the ongoing confinement, but still feasible now and then. These are from SW coast of Portugal, one of my usual go-to places.

Note the Exif does not say X100V, this is because I have to trick my old LR version via IXT and change the name of the camera.

Re: Recent photos with X100V

Excellent images. I think shooting landscape with the X100 series is a unique challenge because the lens is neither ultra-wide nor telephoto. There's a certain blandness to the 23mm view that takes good composition and a fine subject to overcome.

I like that first image in particular. Which Film Simulation, if any, did you use? I've been doing some lakeside shooting myself and Classic Neg in the V is perfect for winter storm-tossed waves.

Very nice pictures. Can I ask for your EXIF changing procedure via Iridient?

Love the first one

I bet that the first one would look great in B&W too.

If you don`t mind, I`d volunteer writing you a simple "ExifTool" script which you can then use to drag and drop all processed files over, having your EXIF camera model reverted back to X100V in a single step (for all files at once) :$

That way you could stop posting these disclaimers (without confusing other forumers, that is), and you would have correct EXIF in your own files for archival purposes, not to possibly get confused yourself, on day in the future...

Re: Recent photos with X100V

Thanks. For me, 35mm is the "Goldilocks" focal lenght, works fine for a lot of subjects. I shoot RAW and import to LR using Provia preset. I then go on adjusting from there.

Thanks. In IXT, there is a field to overwrite the name of the camera for the output DNG file. I simply change it to XPRO2, which my LR recognizes.

Thanks. I prefer the blue monochrome feel, enhances the storm and coldness.

Thanks, but it is not really necessary, save you the trouble:)
