couple of A7RIV questions

I just bought an A7RIV, and I love it so far.

I have a couple of questions I couldn't figure out myself (not with 100% certainty):

- is the front dial customizable? It's absent from the custom keys menu so I guess it's hard-wired to aperture, but just in case I missed something...

- Can the replay magnification be something else than 100% (like 50%). 100% is a tad too much I find myself constantly zooming out during images review.

Bonus question: Any recommendation on a grip extension plate that it not an L bracket and doesnt block the battery door? I don't want/need the vertical grip.

Thank you!

Yes it is customizable. At least you can change between aperture and speed.

I don‘t think this is configurable.

I like this one, I don’t use the L portion, easy to remove.

As mentioned you can swap front/back - https://helpguide.sony.net/ilc/1930/v1/en/contents/TP0002688411.html

but you can also use the My Dial functionality - https://helpguide.sony.net/ilc/1930/v1/en/contents/TP0002727481.html

- Can the replay magnification be something else than 100% (like 50%). 100% is a tad too much I find myself constantly zooming out during images review.

I like to have mine set to Prev Mag -

Thank you all for your answers, much appreciated!

I think the GPX1EM is for the A7RII/III and the A9 but doesn't fit the A7RIV/A9II with the deeper grip.

The L plate if the vertical part is removable will do it!

Previous magnification, I don't know why I overlooked that one it'll definitely work, thanks!

For the front dial I couldn't find a way to swap it still but I'm gonna leave it for aperture then, it's fine like this. I didn't have a front dial on my previous camera so it doesn't feel natural yet to me to use it, and my only sony lens max aperture is f/5.6 so I won't be setting aperture that often for now

I'm certainly enjoying the camera and so far I'm only impressed by everything. It's a consequent upgrade for me and I'm blown away by the results.

Re: couple of A7RIV questions

Another question:

When I cut images from the memory card to paste them on my NAS, the camera seem to still detect unreadable ghost files unless I format the card in-camera. Is that a normal behavior?

Thanks

Thanks for that tip!

It seems there are still things about my A7RIV that I do not know

I think that’s the first command I put on the custom menu each time I get a new camera; Canon or Sony - can’t remember about Nikon.
