Compact camera for gliding adventures

For many years I have been semi-pro doing wedding business using Nikon pro camera gear. Slowly I transitioned away from the photo business and almost gave up the photography hobby. Despite this, I still like to do some street photography using a mirrorless Fuji camera. Just recently I started flying with sailplanes/gliders and would like to capture the nice scenery and do some short movies while flying. The space in gliders is very limited and therefore only compact cameras come into play.

I would need a camera with at least 10x zoom range with wide-angle (24mm), good stabilization, raw support (difficult lighting conditions), good quality video (good 1080p is enough). What cameras should I be looking? I don't need the latest fanciest camera out there... few years old, but solid camera is also ok. Budget around 500$ or less. Thanks.

The more recent Sony RX 100 cameras fit the bil, but are pricey.  You might find an RX100 m6 (also known as a vi) second hand in your price range.

Give DPR's Camera Feature search. I plugged-in some of your requirements (using "Weight" as a proxy for "compact").

The Lumix ZS200/TZ200 popped up but do try it out yourself. I probably missed something.

Thanks for the great page. I did not even know it existed... I think even the older TZ80 would do the job and even cheaper.
