Selling images of high quality but low quantity?

I just came across a website called OFFSET by shutterstock and it seems to be quite a bit more exclusive than other stock websites. Only the highest quality of artists are accepted by their team, and prices are of course much higher, etc.. So I'm just wondering if anyone else has used them?

For me, I have quite high quality and sellable images, but not in the quantities needed for most stock websites. Anyone have any suggestions how I could sell these? Or be hired to take such images at specific locations?

The 1960-70s when people made money from shooting stock on the side while they were on international assignments is long gone, as well as most of those international assignments. The 1980s when photographers footed their own travel and shot stock on speculation is gone too.

If you want to get paid for travel photography, you have to create your own job. Get a channel on social media, be a travel blogger,

The deepest pockets in travel would be corporations that need images of installations or resorts needing images for advertising. But today, why would they hire someone in NYC for example and fly them to Paris when they can hire local talent?

For all but a few the easiest way to make a small fortune in travel scenics is to start with a large fortune.

High-quality scenics can still be sold direct to the consumer - frameable wall art via shows, online through one of the print on demand sites...everybody seems to say it is a grind and you won't make much waiting for people to find your work by searching google, you will need to drive your own traffic to your stuff.

If you want to sell think about setting up your own website.

Stock means pennies. Which means even if you have thousands of images selling you aren't getting huge amounts. You also need to fit the rules for stock.

Glancing at your images the Greek diving/swimming one you might be asked for a model release. The airplane one would be mostly of interest to that airline.  That limits you to editorial sales.

Many interesting street or travel images won't/can't be used for stock. Great images but for one reason or another limited commercially.

500PX if I remember used to put out an informational blog on things to avoid.

Between websites that think taking images from Google photos is okay to the free stock sites your competition is selling images for less than you'd want to consider.

500px will have recommendations applicable to 500px.

I've got some images sold on 500px, but landscapes and travel photos don't go well on stock. I was receiving some 20-30c per image and it looked like a joke. I withdrew from 500px marketplace.

Shutterstock - the sales were a bit better than 500px but still ridiculously cheap.

The OP has decent photos but they won't sell well on stock. It's for those who produce large amounts of images specifically for stock based on their demand. E.g. people in the genetic office wearing smart and smiling faces looking at a genetic whiteboard with a generic profit graph that must go up. Also the people must be diverse one way or another. 20-30 variations with different postures and graphs will do.
