A660. + 18-105 F4 OSS the ultimate light weight video and photo package?
1

I have the A7iii and 24-240 today and pictures are good but zooming ,manually always makes the camera jitter when shooting video.

would A6600 and 18-105 F4 make a good video (and still) solution with almost FF picture quality? Or am I dreaming and this is far from FF low light quality? Only lens I found at decent weight and price with zoom motor for video.

Would this be a disappointment photo and video wise?  The size and weight of the 6600 package is very tempting!

You can read the review of it here https://www.dxomark.com/sony-e-pz-18-105mm-f4-g-oss-lens-review-attractive-option/

Generally it’s slightly less sharp than the 50 mm f1.8. At f5.6 it seems pretty sharp in the centre. You can play around with the field map and check the sharpness at different focal lengths and apertures.

It seems like a good value for a f4 and a PZ lens.

Have you looked into E PZ 18-200mm F3.5-6.3? It costs double but has double the reach (at the expense of non-constant aperture). Sorry no idea about the sharpness of this lens.

Generally yes. But if you are serious about low light, the Sigma 16 F1.4 in addition is a good idea. With that, you can see better at night than with your own eyes
