It looks like a female of one of the cricket species. I can't tell more than that.

It would be a lot more helpful if country, environment and size were included in the request. Saying that, I Googled 'California Crickets' and this was one of the results

So looks like a House Cricket to me.

I used my Seek app on the photo on my monitor and it came up tropical house cricket, so I agree with Kevin, it's a house cricket
