Focus stacking lens requirements

Do the Z bodies limit focus stacking to specific lenses like Olympus does? Will any AF F-mount work?

Asking because im deciding to add another new Olympus or Nikon body while the discounts are on.  And I'm not yet invested in a Z body.

Works with my Sigma Art through the FtZ adapter

I've also used it with several AFS-G lenses from Nikon.

There's always a chance of issues with firmware on 3rd party lenses of course, so results may vary.

All Z lenses - excluding the manual focus 50 mm f0.95 - should work.

With F mount lenses you need AF-S or AF-P lenses.

In lots of ways good photography is much more about how equipment is used rather than anything else.
