looks like problem with writing to SD card, if card is not right formatted or slow this might happen

...or overheating. I've had this happen soon after charging a battery in-camera. I just took the battery out in the end.

I saw it once, i think your right it might be due to being switched off whilst writing to card. Ive not been able to replicate it though. never a good idea switch off camera whilst lens is extending, retracting or card writing on any camera really.

I've had it happen a couple times when using a slower SD card. Taking the battery out and putting it back in fixed it, and it hasn't happened since I switched to a better card.

Well I just got a faster card. Did it make any difference?

The GR3 only supports UHS-I so there's no point in using a UHS-II card or better.. The UHS-II interface has more connections that that the GR3 cannot use.

To find the fastest UHS-I card look at the table some way down this page:

Not sure why you'd want a microsd card. I've had very good results in all kinds of cameras, including GR3, with this card ...

Need to wait a few seconds to power down after you take a shot.  Battery life isn't so bad you have to push the shutter and power button in rapid sequence

Looks like A card issue, try reformating the card.
