All this speculation tires me out. For months before the NBA draft there were mock drafts and endless speculation about who would get who what if's. It's all a waste of time. I waited until draft night and watched it unfold. It's fun to guess but I'll just wait until March, see what they come up with and probably buy the X-E4 because I love my X-E3 so much. I just hope they don't muck it up.

Sure....but...the market isn't always the arbiter of what it wants. A billion $ advertising industry works very successfully to convince the market of what it should want that it didn't want 5 minutes ago. Are you so sure "the market" wants IBIS and is pushing the manufactures to include this feature or is it the other way round ?

People are acting like you simply cannot make a camera without IBIS anymore. If you do, it will not sell. Yet, it simply does not work for many styles of photography.

And to top it off, the seriousness of it all is rather comical, don't you think? There used to be something better to do, IIRC.

it's a gear site, that's what the forums are for, it's always been this way & will continue to be

Sure it is, though at times it's just a bit hilarious (w/o trying to be), is all I'm saying.

but in these times, we all need a good laugh

Touché.   (Well played)

Rumour: Fujifilm is working on the first camera 3D printing machine due out imminently. Allegedly, all you have to do is design your bespoke camera and its specifications from the options on their website and agree a price et viola!

Think probably no IBIS but it might come paired with the new 27mm WR lens as the kit lens. Given that it doesn't make much sense to pair a WR lens with a non WR body it would seem a possibility that the X-E4 would also be WR. We have seen it's possible with the X100V. That would distinguish it from the X-S10.

What makes you think the 27mm will be the kit lens? It never has been in the past. I think you guys will be very disappointed if you expect WR and IBIS in this camera. We are lucky Fuji rescued the X-E series at all... its resurrection will not suddenly make it a flagship for Fuji.

If I had to choose between an X-E4 with WR but no IBIS or the X-S10 with IBIS but not WR then I'd certainly pick the X-E4. Since I like hiking which is pretty much a daytime activity the WR feature seems much more useful to have than IBIS.

This is what people have to understand. There are so many people who still never use ibis because they photograph in the daylight only. Additionally, many people do not photograph unless it’s a nice day. To some of us, these features are must haves... to others, they do not care.

People who buy $1000+ cameras are not going to stop taking photos because "it's not a nice day".

+1 No good skill (hand shake) also no a reason stop take SOOC photo via camera (especially how who bought $1000+ camera).

Consumer always right as long as he pay the money.

Smartphone maker never told consumer can't answer call because "it's not a nice place" (phone signal not enough good).

I think you better rethink this... I truly know many people with $20000+ in equipment who only go out to photograph when the sun is out.   Obviously we both don’t agree with that but there are some people who only like sunny days.  Not everyone photographs the same ways or for the same reason. $1000 is not a lot either... people’s phones cost that much.

This has absolutely nothing to do with IBIS. People have been (or have not been) taking photos in cloudy days for tens of years before IBIS was invented. There are lots of techniques to help in those days, least of which is to have IBIS.

Re: XF27 MKII as OIS?

Might Fuji pair the new XF27mm f2.8 MKII with the X-E4 as an OIS lens to reduce the IBIS drum roll and maintain a small E4 size?
