Sharp Wide Open, Sometimes Tricky AF

My copy of this lens is surprisingly sharp across the field wide open, better than reports I've heard (I'm talking about being able to see good details in a screen window at the edge of the frame). At first I thought this might not be the case, but I figured out that my X-T4 was often sending the autofocus a little too far back or in front of the subject. Using manual focus, which is nice and easy with this lens, I can tell the sharpness is great.

The bokeh looks only ok, and it does have a little hazy glow in the areas just slightly out of focus, which likely contributes to the "soft" feeling when you miss focus a little.

I have to keep experimenting with the AF to see if I can improve the results. I notice that even at f8 some of my shots look out of focus, some spot on (more mixed results than my other Fuji lenses).

Overall, this feels like a premium lens compared to my 23 f2, which has softer corners. But I would say that for the average user the 23 f2 is a better choice.
