Looking for a 3D viewer to view 3D images

Most 3D viewers are VR headset viewers requiring you to place a smartphone in front of the device.
The problem with this is a need to take my phone out of its tight case each time I want to use my VR viewer (difficult to do)  and have the material loaded on my phone. Also I don't need to move  my head around as I just want to view 3D photos.

There are View master stereo viewers but you would need to create your disc of photos.

There is the viwer where you mount printed photos in front of the viewer but you always have to print the photos you want to view.

I don't understand why there is not a 3D viewer on the market that has its own electronic screen for each eye and allows you to put a SD card in a slot containing photos that you want to view in 3D. Also it would be nice to download a 3D view and view it in this type of viewer.

The PlayStation had a VR headset viewer but being playstation it seems that its ONLY for games.

Any feed back on something close to what I'm looking for would be helpful thanks.

Re: Looking for a 3D viewer to view 3D images

I am always searching for different ways to view 3D images. I want a method which is portable and I can show to friends and family. Putting things on the head or looking through special glasses is usually resisted by other people. There was a similar question on this recently. I will repeat some of my answer here

A suitable viewer which I used for some time is a hand held viewer and a smart phone ( Sony Xperia Z5 premium with 4K display ) On the smartphone I would load on to the SD card inside the phone, side by side parallel images and movie clips which I created from stereo photos/clips. The Viewer is held about 4 inches from the screen on the smart phone. I found this gave very good results.

Here is a suitable side by side parallel image, made by myself, for this type of viewing ( the image is not squashed )

Other smart phones could be used if they have a fairly high resolution on the display.

The Sony Xperia Z5 premium can be bought now for just over £110 unlocked ( used ).

The solutions depend on the budget. VR headsets are good but expensive and sometimes uncomfortable (in warm environments, by example).
Something new will expand on the market. It's about AR glasses. They have black shade covers if you like to see only the photo/video material, without superposed over environment.

This will give you the impression to view a 3D big screen in front of you. Can be connected to a lot of digital sources (PC, smartphones, tablets, etc...). But this are not cheap (~600$).

I use my PPTV King 7S phone for fast showcase or a $300 Quest2 with Pigasus software, which also support MPO format!

As an alternative to full headsets, how about something like this? https://homido.com/shop/homido-mini

It’s very light and compact.

Re: Looking for a 3D viewer to view 3D images

Thanks for your help everyone.

If I was a manufacture I would create a electronic stand alone device that you could load 3D photos on an 3D card in the device and would likely make a lot of money as it fulls a hole in the market.
