Cornwall with the X100V

I was lucky enough to escape briefly before Lockdown 2 was imposed in the UK. The X100V was the perfect companion, withstanding some typically mixed British weather conditions...

Lovely images, great story in the link and you've done nothing to help me resist the X100V (I chose a XE3 +27 instead of the X100F in 2018).

You are right about one thing - we have some unappreciated landscapes and places on our island.  The SW coast trail hike is still on my list.

Thanks very much for reading and commenting! Love my X-E3, and the profile with the 27mm or 18mm is hard to beat

Re: Cornwall with the X100V

Hi, thanks for sharing those moody photos. I found the foreground a bit too dark for my taste. For situations like these I used play with the shadow options or pp raw edit .

sw coast trail? I read the book by Winn Raynor and was fascinated and thrilled at the same time. Maybe some time I will cross the channel and walk it .

greeting from Berlin, fidibus

Nice photos. So missing going to Cornwall this year, normally we go 3 or 4 times. I sold my X100F, beginning to rethink

Good composition. Last one with cloud shape like charging bull leaping skywards. Even in black and white the clouds might appear very dramatic. Cornwall was always a favourite of photographers with long beaches and shimmering surfaces with tiny figures flickering in the distance. Tintagel castle worth a visit. Some towns with a history of piracy?

Thanks for commenting! Fair criticism I think. I wanted to go for a more moody, contrasty look but it's at the expense of some shadow detail.
