A6000 and studio strobes

Does anyone have a good method for triggering studio strobes (Alien Bees B400s and B800s) with an A6000?  My A77 has a PC synch port and I use a standard cable between the camera and the strobe.  Can't seem to find a similar method with the A6000. Any ideas?

A hot shoe to PC adapter perhaps?

Or a radio remote with a PC output. This would be more expensive obviously.

I think you are right.  A shot shoe adapter is the key.  I will have to search for one.  Thanks!

One other thing you have go consider is the trigger voltage of your strobes.  If they are old, the voltage may be too high for  your camera.

I have a few very old Speedotron studio strobes with high voltage.  This can be controlled with something like a Wein Safe Sync.  I use an in line Wein with mine.

Hotshoe with the Pixel adapter.....pc cable from adapter to Wein SS......pc cord from Wein to strobe.

Re: A6000 and studio strobes

Hi, I also have old studio flashes and wouldn’t take the risk off frying my camera. So I use my Hahnel capture transmitter/receiver set to do the job. One flash I has the receiver, the other 2 or more strobes work in slave. Since they are old they don’t have TTL and are fully manual.

only thing you need to use on the receiver is a correct PC sync plug.

This is the set:
