Re: Purchasing a second hand Fuji Xe2

Yes, I also picked the XT 20 instead of the XE3 when the time came, largely because of the tilt screen...as mostly what I shoot is landscapes while hiking and street photography... I use the tilt screen a lot. Useful for above crowds, too at events.

I don't like lenses bigger than the 18-55 on this body, though I do own one that is over 600g... just not balanced too well, and can be harder to grip, with 72mm filters.

If the XE4 gets a tilt screen, I'll likely pick that up at some point instead.

For secondhand Fuji and video, don't forget that in 2018, the X-H1 was Fuji's first real shot at pro body level 4K30 video, with IBIS.  Not their lightest camera, but it takes fantastic video as well as stills.  I own two of 'em.

The thicker magnesium body is reinforced with steel struts around the lens mount so that large MK Cinema glass can be fitted and not flex the mount.  They were really serious about using this camera for legitimate video work.

I'm already saving up for the X-H2, and I don't even shoot much video.

That is true. That is a amazing camera. But, the XH1 is still (at least, where i live) a pretty darn expensive option even second hand. If you want something 'to go along with it' a XE3 or XT20 is, budgetwise, for some of us a better option. Also, the money you save you can then spend on some quality Fuji glass!

That said, the XE2 has the same sensor as the x100t. That was the last sensor before Fuji cameras started looking like Nikon, Canon, Sony, imo. I gave my x100t to someone to encourage her to pursue her photography. She didn’t and a month later it got stolen.
