Well ... I really don't know. The control buttons on the back are n color as opposed to the original all-gray. Would that indicate that it has an updated battery tray as well? The contacts do look pretty robust. I suppose I could check with Sigma on Monday via the serial number. Thanks for inquiring.

Only to the extent that the SD9 is a very significant camera in anyone's collection, being the first one to have a fully functional Foveon sensor. I regard it as a classic. I have mine 18 or 19 years and it still works perfectly whenever I power it up.

You are giving someone the chance of owning a very unique camera. Good luck to you and whoever becomes the new owner.
