Canon's "EOS Kiss M2 (Black / White)" body, 15-45mm kit, double zoom kit, 15-45mm / 22mm kit and "PowerShot ZOOM" have been added to domestic retailers. It should be announced later this week.

This is per Nokishita which has a perfect track record.

NK is Japanese based, however, it does beg the question: Is this a Japan-only release? (For now)

That's what the rumors were and this would seem to stoke the notion if you want one sooner, is Tenso still around and doing business during this COVID-weirdness (which is probably the new normal)? I used them to import my M3, and glad I did. Was 6 months till the states got it, and I got it for a heckofa deal ($479 USD, and it came with the EVF). No USA warranty obviously if you go that route, and returns are a mess. Might be worth it for some folks though...

Nnowak mentioned that he went this route also.

Could you tell me more about your experience with Tenso? (nnowak as well if you're listening).

Did you have any problems with changing the language, etc?

A few months ago, one of the rumor sites was suggesting the M50 II would launch in Japan Fall of 2020 and in the rest of the world Spring of 2021

Well, I guess we’ll find out pretty soon.

I also used Tenso. The whole process was quite painless. I think the time from placing the order to receipt of the camera was less than 2 weeks. I would have absolutely no qualms purchasing through Tenso again, but definitely NOT for a camera on launch day.

Thanks for this.  So you’re saying don’t go pre-ordering from them?  Or just to wait until day 2?

The EOS Kiss M2 will have Digic 8 and 24Mpx sensor according to newest tweet from nokishita.

The main changes of the Canon "EOS Kiss M2" seem to be improved AF performance and operability. The planned release date is late November 2020 for the "EOS Kiss M2", mid-November 2020 for the "PowerShot ZOOM", and late February 2021 for the "Speedlite EL-1"

- Automatic images/video transfert to PC via Image Transfer Utility 2 (don't know if it's tethering, not sure)
- youtube streaming (like G7 X III?)
- 1080/120fps

So like the original M50, vlogger target. No info about the 4K crop. But DPAF in 4k seems enabled.
For me that's a good thing for a possible M5 II (more still oriented)

That's basically an M200 + viewfinder +flip all directions screen + hot shoe.   Maybe Canon was able to sqeeze out a little more AF sensitivity by better software......  But it won't be as nice as the 32Mp sensor.....

If it can do 1080p/120fps, then it surely has to be a new sensor. Could turn out to have some advantages over the m6ii if that is the case (slightly faster readout because of lower res).

Yeah, of course. But 24Mp or 32Mp (that is: slow read out speed or fast read out speed), your 50mm equivalent won't be stabilized anyway.

A just bought a second hand M200 + second hand sigma 56mm f/1.4  for my mother. 600 euro in total, while i might sell the included kitlens to get another 100 euro off.  Great prices, great performance, and the simplicity is just lovely.  But if you want IBIS there are zero compact options from Canon. I noticed in Av + auto ISO the M200 doesn't allow the shutter speed to go any slower than 1/100th, so that's a good thing. With the 22mm and 32mm on the M50 it got as long as 1/60th, which too long for my taste. This is a pain because there's no minimum shutter speed setting, so i was glad it works well with the M200 + 56mm f/1.4.

It's a hard pass to me then... And I could end getting the fuji x-s10 instead

+2 Dang.  For me no 32 MP = No Deal.

It's going to be a fine camera for a lot of (other) people though.  Note: I acknowledge that my own use case (macro) is very limited!

Nokishita just saved me $1000 for sure!
