Panasonic Lumix G90

Hi there, I've recently purchased a Lumix G90, intending to use it for videography.

I'm having problems, though, with the audio. I have connected an external lavalier mic (Boya) which works fine. However there is an enormous amount of background hiss coming from the camera. I can reduce the dB level but on playback it's still there. I really need a clean sound.

1. Is there a way of reducing the hiss  or

2. Is there a way of bypassing the built-in mic and just using the external mic?

Thanks

Once you plug the Boya mic in the internal mic should automatically get disconnected.
Which Boya mic are you using? If it is the BT-SM80 then you are experiencing the same problem that I have with mine.
