White-eye buzzard and Red Neck Falcon.

Both with K-5iis and DA560mm

White eyed buzzard (juvenile) - The adult has beautiful white eyes

Red necked falcon

I love the pose of the falcon! You got it at the right time.

How far away were you? The DA560mm appears to be good for very distant subjects.

Lovely falcon photo. I've not seen that falcon before, what part of the world do you live in? Is the falcon common?

Thanks Barry. The buzzard was about 50+ feet away. The falcon was about 30-40 feet away. The 560 definitely produce sharper pictures of far away birds.

Thanks This is taken in southern part of India. This is a resident bird and commonly seen in grassy areas (like dry lake bed like where this was taken) hunting smaller birds

Beautiful, perhaps though slightly increase the contrast or slightly darken the photos, they appear slightly washed out

Thanks Mike. I will take your feedback into consideration.

I have been observing that darktable default RAW processing of Pentax files is different than the JPEG preview that I see in-cambera.
